Easy Way to Defrost a Turkey

In honor of American Thanksgiving, I'm going to share a tip that came to me anonymously via email. If this is from you...everyone thanks you!

"We defrost our turkey every year in an ice chest open the drain hole on the bottom and leave the lid cracked open it is safe and easy way to defrost. also if it defrosts early just keep a two liter of water in the freezer and throw it in the cooler a day before you get the best of both worlds it defrosts and still stays at a temp that doesn't promote bacteria growth and if you brine your turkey you have a container all ready for your brine mixture."
